At LYTL, our mission is to support parents in raising strong, creative, and independent children through intentional, open-ended play.
We create Montessori-inspired toys that help children:
- Build confidence
- Develop fine motor skills
- Strengthen problem-solving abilities
- Learn through hands-on exploration
We also believe Montessori doesn’t have to be all or nothing.
Simple, meaningful toys can be used in any home — alongside everyday play, homeschooling, or traditional learning.
Because every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and play with confidence.
Our Story: Why Lytl Was Born
Before LYTL, I was a mom searching for a solution.
My oldest son struggled to play independently. No matter how many toys I bought, they would sit untouched unless I showed him exactly how to use them. His imagination wasn’t developing, and his creativity felt nonexistent.
At the same time, we were both overwhelmed.
His anxiety increased from overstimulation — from noisy toys and too much screen time — while I felt drained by the constant clutter of toys that didn’t actually help.
I knew something had to change.
That’s when I discovered Montessori-inspired toys — simple, open-ended, and designed to encourage independent play.
For the first time, I saw a shift.
My son began playing on his own, creating, exploring, and engaging in ways I had never seen before. It changed everything for both of us.
So I created LYTL — not just for my family, but for other families who may be struggling the same way we were.
Our toys bring simplicity back to childhood — less clutter, less overwhelm, and more meaningful play.
