LYTL (pronounced “little”) is a mom-founded toy brand creating Montessori-inspired, screen-free toys for meaningful, open-ended play.
We believe childhood can be simpler: fewer distractions, more imagination, and toys that give children room to explore, create, and grow.
Born From a Real Need at Home
LYTL began when I saw how screen-heavy, overstimulating play was affecting my son’s creativity, focus, and ability to play independently.
I started looking for a calmer way to help him explore, imagine, and build confidence on his own. Discovering Montessori-inspired play changed the way our family approached toys — and eventually inspired me to create LYTL for other families looking for that same simplicity.

Our toys are designed to invite children to do the thinking, building, stacking, sorting, pretending, and problem solving.
Instead of batteries, flashing lights, or constant entertainment, LYTL leaves room for curiosity and creativity. Depending on the toy, play can support fine motor practice, spatial reasoning, sensory exploration, independent play, and imaginative thinking.
Thoughtful Materials & Calming Design
The materials we choose are one of the most important parts of every LYTL toy — especially because babies and toddlers explore with their hands and mouths. Every LYTL toy is made with food-grade, BPA-free silicone, with select designs also incorporating natural beech wood.
Silicone is soft, durable, easy to clean, and versatile enough for supervised sensory and water play when the design allows. For toys with wood components, we recommend keeping the wood dry.
Building Confidence Beyond Playtime
Positive affirmations are woven into LYTL because we believe our words have power — especially the words children hear about themselves. Repeating messages like I am kind, I am brave, I am capable, I am loved, and I am enough can help build confidence and shape how children see themselves.
